Homeward Bound provides a comprehensive program for the resident which includes the following: cognitive retraining, independent living skills, medication management, cooking and meal planning, home and community safety, transportation arrangement, time management, pre-vocational skills, social skills, behavior management, and consumer skills. We are pleased to have students as part of our program to fulfill their requirements.
We offer recreational activities as the fun part of the rehabilitation process, utilizing river rafting, canoeing, fishing and many other outdoor opportunities. Our rual setting allows us to have horses and numerous other animals that give the clients many opportunities such as feeding and care.
We are proud that we have been able to successfully work with some of the most challenging clients, often exceeding the anticipated outcomes. Currently we are planning to add another house with property adjoining the current group home. We work closely with a Portland, Oregon based rehab company, Progressive Rehab Associates that deals entirely with brain injury clients on a day program basis.
